I’m sure you can tell from the general lack up updates and ask responses, but I am currently on hiatus—work picked up for the summer and I will be leaving for JP for a couple weeks in a few days. I’ve been on a ban from buying more BL so I haven’t had much to post. 8( Sorry.

Anyway, here are some ask replies and once I get back from vacation (where I will be allowed to buy AS MUCH BL as I want) I will hopefully have lots and lots of great stuff to post. Anyone who sends an ask after this post and before I leave, it will either be responded to privately or edited in. errr… Kyuugou’s Escape was pretty violent. Maybe her Acid Town series as well. Yamane Ayano’s Finder series. Aniya Yuiji’s Shisei no Otoko. Rennaisance Yoshida’s Akaneshinchi Hanaya Sange? Definitely Nakamura Asumiko’s Double Mints. Errr that’s all I can think of off the top of my head, sorry. orz;; Unfortunately I tend to avoid BL comics like that, since I prefer the lighter fluffy ones.

My favorite of all time is probably the final chapters, Flip Flop, of Kobato Mebaru’s Sawatte Tokashite book. But I also really like Ike Reibun’s Not Equal. Watanabe Asia’s Nibiiro no Hana series because it’s wonderfully smutty. Somehow even though that’s one of my favorite kinks in BL I can’t think of many SOB. So you can also check the incest tag though even that is kind of lacking. I’ll have to track down some more BL comics about brotherly love I guess!

uhhh tbh a lot of the artists (i.e. Sadahiro Mika) who tend to do role reversal aren’t really my cup of tea. However, I did like Three Wolves Mountain by Naono Boura. They didn’t really switch it up, though—they just changed positions at one point and never went back. It’s also hinted in Kumota Haruko’s Itoshi no Nekokke that they’ll switch it up at some point but they haven’t gotten to that point quite yet. Also Kumota Haruko’s Mimi-kun series!

threesomes are unfortunately kind of rare in BL, and usually it’s more of a sandwich than an actual three-way. Again, a lot of the mangaka I don’t like at all seem to be better at producing such stories. However, in Ootsuki Miu’s PLAYZONE book there’s a multi-chapter with some really great 3p scenes! Ikenai Otoko also has a short scene with a threesome. Honjou Rie’s Kibishiku Aishite. Possibly also helpful is Manga Updates’ list on all yaoi comics that are also tagged in the ‘Threesome’ category.

my favorite BL can be found here, for the most part. I haven’t updated it for a while, though. In general, my absolute favorite books are by Aniya Yuiji, Jaryuu Dokuro, Kumota Haruko, Ogura Muku, Ootsuki Miu, etc. My favorite non-BL comics are Magi, Strobe Edge, Sekine-kun no Koi and Hourou Musuko. 8) Nice to meet you. (Though you seem to have deleted since you sent this ask…)

Anyway one last thing: recently I’ve been getting a lot of people asking me the artists and titles of the stuff I post, which is just bizarre because I always always always post the titles and artists. ALWAYS. That’s the whole point of this blog—so people can learn new BL artists and books. So for the millionth time, please do not remove my artist and title credits. Please. It’s really obnoxious and if you don’t want text on your blog you can always get a layout that doesn’t show text by default instead of removing it. It’s just rude, seriously—both to me and to the people who might want to read the book I posted somewhere along the line. I’m sure we all know how much it sucks to find a manga panel and be like “wow that looks interesting! I want to read this but it doesn’t say the title are artist! 8(” (Though admittedly the fact that people go through the effort to come to my blog and ask what the title and artist is withough actually checking the post in question is a bit… wow.)
